HAMPTON, VA – Wide receiver Jadakis Bonds, one of the most prolific pass catchers in Hampton history, has signed with the Green Bay Packers. During his career, he was a first-team all-conference selection in both the Big South Conference and the Colonial Athletic Association.

“I am excited for Jadakis and his family as he lives his dream to play in the NFL. He is not only a prolific receiver and dominant player, he was a three-year captain for us,” said Hampton coach Robert Prunty. “When I think of Jadakis, I think of loyalty. He loves Hampton University and, although he had other opportunities, he stayed here, played here, and graduated from here. We all appreciate the phenomenal support of Hampton’s leadership and the encouragement and support of President Darrell K. Williams.”

Bonds hold the career-record for touchdowns with 34. His 180 receptions for 2,731 receiving yards rank him third in Hampton’s all-time record book. In 2018, Bonds hauled in a school single-season school record 70 passes for 943 yards and 15 touchdowns.

A native of Williamston, N.C., Bonds graduated from Riverside High School. He played at Hampton from 2018-22. The 2020 season was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
